Pedro Nobre - 25 years of age, born in Portugal - dedicates his life to the art form of music as a drummer and occasionally as a composer, arranger and educator. He’s considered to be one of the most exciting and promising drummers of his generation.
In 2022, he graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam obtaining the maximum grade on his final recital. Recently he won the 2nd prize in the prestigious Keep an Eye International Jazz Award and the 3rd prize in the Jazz in the Park International Jazz Competition, both with Nausyqa.
Currently based in both Amsterdam and Lisbon, he keeps himself busy with many different projects like Nausyqa (NL), Loosense (PT), Yakuza (PT), Dolina (PT) and CHOCOS (NL). He has been seen performing at some notorious european venues and festivals like Jazz in Duke Town, Paradox (InJazz Showcase), BIMHUIS, Ferrara Jazz Club, MusicBox, Cool Jazz Festival, Capitólio, Jazz in the Park Romania, to name a few.
His experience recording for different artists has only been growing, the most notorious one being the collaboration on both albums of the award-winning Portuguese artist, A Garota Não.
As a student, many have been the drum teachers that have guided and helped him create his unique voice on the instrument. Michael Lauren, Luis Gaspar, João Rijo, Lucas van Merwijk, Marcel Serierse, Martijn Vink and Yoràn Vroom. He is forever grateful to all of them.
