Once there was this kid that only thought about music. His dream was to have a band of his own. He felt the need to express himself and so he assembled some already close and other soon-to-be close friends and created a safe environment for music experimentation where any idea was valid and mistakes were allowed to happen. Right after their first songs came to life, some concerts took place in the kid's hometown and surroundings. That feeling of performing your creations to the live public exceeded every expectation. It was a game-changer. The kid had found his purpose in life. From then on he would mainly focus on guiding the boys to make the best possible tunes they could with the goal of playing them with full love and passion for whoever would be willing to take it.
Loosense has been making music since 2015. With two albums released, Doze in 2018 and Saloon in 2019, we have been playing all over Portugal. New music is planned to be recorded in the near future. The boys are: yours truly on the drums, João Completo on bass, Iuri Oliveira on percussion, Diogo Marrafa on electric guitar, Gonçalo Mahú on piano and synths, José Zambujo on tenor sax, Ruben Garção da Silva on alto sax and Ivo Rodrigues on trumpet.

Saloon (2019)
Our 2nd LP showcases a wide variety of influences personal to every member of the group - 10 dudes at the time. It took us a full week of rehearsing in one of the hotter weeks of the 2018 summer in Portugal and 2 full days at the studio to make it happen. Every track was recorded live with a phew over-dubs added later on. We recorded at Estúdios Vale de Lobos in Sintra, Portugal. Pedro Vidal and Guilherme Vales engineered the session. Miguel Vilhena brilliantly mixed the whole thing and Pieter de Wagter mastered it. André Santos aka AFTA 3000 was responsible for the cover. You can still acquire the extremely well-crafted (by us) limited edition CD here.
Doze (2018)
5 tracks that sum up quite accurately how Diogo and I were feeling about finishing high school. There's too much of everything because the hormones were quicking in strong, I would imagine. Nevertheless, this record represents the beginning of our journey, and for that, it holds a special place in my heart. We recorded in a single intense day that lasted way longer than our physical capabilities would hope for at Estúdios Vale de Lobos in Sintra, Portugal. Pedro Vidal engineered, mixed and mastered it. The amazing artwork is from Tvfer.
